Chris joined Jacknow Construction in 2021. Starting his career in 1995 under master carpenter Mike Steiger in Oak Park, he contributed to renowned projects such as the FLW home, studio, and Robie house. An eight-year tenure with a design-build firm in Aspen, Colorado, honed his skills in cabinet and furniture making. Later, he founded a cabinet shop in the Elgin/St. Charles region. Upon his son’s birth, he returned to Oak Park, specializing as a finish carpenter and cabinetmaker. Chris values the transformative art of crafting raw materials into functional beauty. He encourages homeowners to appreciate the journey and eagerly anticipate the final outcome.
